LAST WEEK'S ROUND UP: A light to moderate trade took place
mostly on Thursday and Friday last week. Southern live
business ranged from $99 to $100, steady to $1 lower than the
prior week's weighted averages. Northern dressed business had
a huge range of $156 to $163, but was at mostly $159 to $160,
roughly $6 to $7 lower than the prior week's weighted average
basis Nebraska. According to the Friday afternoon Mandatory
reports weekly trade volumes were as follows: KS 7,640; NE
17,405; TX 6,912; CO 937; IA 15,287.
DTN MORNING COMMENTS: The country is typically quiet this
Monday morning with bids and asking prices not established as
of yet. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until
the second half of the week. Beef cutouts are expected to be
higher with generally light box movement.
For the week ending September 07, 2019, Imported Beef Passed
for Entry in the U.S. totaled 32,313, 86.27% of the previous
week and 86.21% of the prior 4-week average.
